Nursing + therapy

Nursing care and therapy from one provider

When nurses and therapists work under the same roof, you benefit: shorter lines of communication, shared goals and people who really know each other.

Why this approach works so well

Reduced muscle strength and restricted mobility increase the risk of falls and becoming bedridden in later life. That is why we actively mobilise our patients: what the physiotherapist or occupational therapist practises, the nurse picks up again in everyday care. And with swallowing disorders, speech therapy and nursing agree on diet and mealtime support together.

This helps to prevent complications such as pressure sores, thrombosis and contractures – and keeps people independent for longer when getting up, walking and dressing.

  • Shared goals for nursing and therapy
  • Quick consultations within the team – even at short notice
  • One contact person for family members
  • Therapy as home visits, coordinated with care times – speech therapy also in care homes or senior residences
  • Collaboration with doctors, senior residences, day clinics, nurseries and schools
